Our beliefs
about Jesus
We believe that Jesus was fully man and fully God.
We believe that He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, called people into relationship with Him, and died on the cross as the atoning sacrifice for all mankind. We believe that Jesus laid in the grave three days and rose again in the resurrection. We believe He is close, that He guides our path and continues to call men into His kingdom.
We believe Jesus is the standard for every part of our lives and that God’s purpose is to transform man to look like Jesus. We believe that Jesus will return one day to take His children home.
about the Bible
We believe that every word, every thought, and every book of the Bible are the divinely inspired Word of God – 2 Timothy 3:16-17. The Bible is the authority for all preaching, teaching, and guidance. We refer to the scriptures for the answers to every question about life and godliness.
about salvation
We believe that Jesus is the only way to salvation (John 14:6).
To be saved, you must
(1) Hear the Word of God – Romans 10:14
(2) Believe that Jesus is the Son of God – John 3:16 and Acts 16:31
(3) Repent of your sins – Acts 2:38 and 2 Corinthians 7:10
(4) Confess Jesus as Lord – Romans 9:9 and 10:9
(5) Be baptized for the remission of sins – Acts 2:38 and 1 Peter 3:21
(6) Deliberately pursue a life of spiritual growth.
about baptism
We believe in total immersion during baptism, which represents death, burial and resurrection as described by the apostle Paul in Romans 6:3-5. Faith must always precede baptism, so only those old enough to understand and believe the gospel can be baptized.
about spiritual growth
We believe that to look like Jesus we must grow like Jesus – Luke 2:52. Christians Seek God in worship, Share Life with the local congregation and other Christians, Study the Bible together and individually, Serve Others physically, spiritually, and through sharing the Gospel, and Support Ministry by becoming involved in deliberate, intentional, and meaningful efforts to help the world see Jesus in His people.
